Anathem

Just finished Neal Stephenson's Anathem. The concents of his novel are like Hogwarts of SCIENCE. But with more Hermiones.

Also, Stephenson's not-Latin has a better justification than Rowling's not-Latin.

I received Anathem for Christmas a few years ago and started reading it enthusiastically, having enjoyed other Stephenson before. Then classes started, so I put it down until summer... and had to back up several chapters to remind myself what was going on. Didn't finish it before the next interruption, so I put it down until the next space of free time... and had to back up several chapters to remind myself what was going on. At this rate, I estimate I'll finish it in 2019.

The gift that keeps on giving...

One of the downsides of reading on Kindle is that it isn't easy to tell that you're reading a thousand page doorstop. On the plus side, less wrist strain.
